So, when we took our summer recess a few East Bay Karate-Do black belts (Senseis John, Ian, West, Jocelyn, and Jazmin) decided to venture out to Hawaii for the break.

Besides the rest and relaxation this trip served multiple purposes. One of them being Kyoshi John Felipe’s birthday!!! 🎉🎂

In addition to that we had the opportunity to train with fellow-IUKF members: Honolulu Uechi-Ryu Karate Club c/o Sensei Al Cloutier.

We had an awesome time in an awesome place.

Just kinda goes to show, we might be on vacation but uh, practice isn’t 😜
